One of the laws of leadership as described by John C. Maxwell in his best selling book "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" is the Law of Process. The Law of Process says "Leadership develops daily, not in a day."

An effective leader, as well as a successful board of directors, needs to have a plan to continually improve their leadership and governance skills. The plan can include reading books, attending training sessions, and/or interacting with peers (join a Lead to Exceed Success Group). I have trained hundreds of experienced, as well as newly-appointed leaders and board members in many different areas of leadership and governance.
